When you click "Get Deal" or similar outbound links to retailer websites (such as Amazon, Argos, Currys, etc.), these links may contain affiliate tracking tags. If you make a purchase after clicking such a link, we may receive a commission from the retailer at no extra cost to you.

What this means for you:

•The price you pay is the same whether you use our affiliate link or go directly to the retailer.
•The affiliate commission helps us keep Hype Deals UK running and free for everyone.
•Clicking an affiliate link is a necessary part of using our service and is covered by our legitimate interests as a business (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

We are transparent about our affiliate relationships. All sponsored or affiliate deals are clearly marked on the platform.

3. User Accounts

To participate in the community (post deals, comment, vote), you must create an account via Google OAuth. By creating an account, you agree that:

•The information you provide (nickname, avatar) is accurate and not misleading.
•You are responsible for all activity under your account.
•We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms.

4. Community Contributions (Deals, Comments, Votes)

When you submit content to Hype Deals UK (including deals, price information, comments, and votes), you agree to the following:

By submitting content, you grant us:

•A non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to display, store, and distribute your content on the Hype Deals UK platform.
•The right to moderate, edit, or remove your content at our discretion.
•The right to process your personal data (nickname, avatar, user ID) as necessary to display your contributions to other users.

Why we need this: Hype Deals UK is a community platform. When you post a deal or comment, other users need to see who posted it. Your nickname and avatar are displayed alongside your contributions. This processing is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

5. Content Guidelines

When posting deals, comments, or any other content, you must not:

•Post false, misleading, or fabricated deal information (including fake prices or discounts).
•Submit spam, repetitive content, or content that does not represent a genuine deal or saving.
•Post content that is defamatory, abusive, harassing, or discriminatory.
•Include personal information of others without their consent.
•Post content that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights.
•Use the platform for commercial purposes other than genuine deal sharing (no self-promotion or advertising without permission).
•Attempt to manipulate voting systems, rankings, or deal temperatures through automated means or coordinated behaviour.
•Post deals with malicious, phishing, or fraudulent links.

Breach of these guidelines may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

6. Our Right to Moderate Content

We reserve the right to moderate, edit, hide, or remove any content submitted to Hype Deals UK at our sole discretion, without prior notice. This includes:

•Deals that are expired, inaccurate, or no longer available.
•Comments that violate our content guidelines.
•Content that may expose us to legal liability.
•Spam, duplicate submissions, or low-quality content.

We do not guarantee that all content on the platform is accurate, current, or suitable for any particular purpose. Always verify deal details with the retailer before making a purchase.

7. Intellectual Property

The Hype Deals UK website, its design, branding, and original content are owned by Hype Deals UK and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Product images, prices, and descriptions displayed on Hype Deals UK are sourced from retailer websites and are the property of their respective owners. They are displayed under fair dealing for the purpose of price comparison and deal sharing.

8. Affiliate Links and Outbound Traffic

Hype Deals UK participates in affiliate programmes including but not limited to Amazon Associates. When you click on deal links, you may be redirected to retailer websites through affiliate tracking URLs.

Important disclosures:

•We may earn a commission when you click on or make purchases through our affiliate links.
•This does not affect the price you pay or the deals we share.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Hype Deals UK is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

•All deals posted are accurate, current, or available for purchase.
•Prices, discounts, or savings information is correct at the time of viewing.
•The website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
•Any content posted by users is accurate, reliable, or suitable for any purpose.

Always verify deal details, prices, and availability directly with the retailer before making a purchase.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hype Deals UK shall not be liable for:

•Any losses arising from your reliance on deal information posted on the platform.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via the "Delete My Account" feature in your account settings. This will permanently remove your profile, contributions, and associated data.

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, without prior notice, if:

•You breach these Terms of Service.
•You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful behaviour.
•We are required to do so by law or regulatory authority.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by displaying a notice on the platform. Continued use of Hype Deals UK after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing Law
